Guy Martin and Daniel Cooper to partner Team Molnar Manx for inaugural Classic TT Races
Works Suzuki TT star Guy Martin and former British Champion and up and coming TT star Daniel Cooper are the first modern day TT riders to commit to the new Classic TT Races due to be held for the first time in 2013.
Thirteen time TT podium finisher Martin and 2006 British 125cc Champion Cooper have agreed to ride for Team Molnar Manx on 500cc Molnar Manx Norton’s in the inaugural 500cc Classic TT Race which is scheduled to take place on Saturday 24th August 2013.The deal sees a return to the Isle of Man for Team Molnar Manx after a ten-year absence. The team has enjoyed notable success around the Mountain Circuit in the past having won the Senior Classic Manx Grand Prix Races in 2000 with Glen English and 2002 with Richard ‘Milky’ Quayle, when they last competed.Guy, arguably the most well known motorcyclist in the UK at the present time due to his starring role in the TT3D Closer to the Edge film last year as well as his current Channel 4 television show 'Building Britain', will contest the event on the latest evolution of the 95-bore Molnar Manx Norton. His team-mate Cooper is one of the rising stars of the TT, having achieved his first top 10 finishes during this year’s event and he is tipped as a future winner. Both riders have also not ruled out further outings in one of the other Classic TT classes.

“Interest in the Classic TT to date has been remarkable from riders, teams and machine owners at all levels and we are working towards making several more announcements about the progress to date at the Motorcycle Live in Birmingham in November.”Richard 'Milky' Quayle was the last man to ride a Team Molnar Manx bike in the Isle of Man, back in 2002. He won the race.
