The First Ever Comparison Of The Pagani Huayra And Zonda Is So Awesome - Jalopnik
Peter Read is a lucky guy. He owns both a Pagani Zonda and Huayra. Horacio Pagani must love him for it. He's also a member of the Goodwood Road and Racing Club, so it was only natural to take his cars out on the track to see what's what.
Pagani's two supercars are very different. The Zonda is a fifteen-year old concept polished to perfection by evolution. It's latest reincarnation uses a 7.3-liter AMG V12 built especially for Pagani, but the basic idea remained the same from day one: it's a naturally-aspirated mid-engined supercar with a manual transmission and styling that makes a Lamborghini Murcielago look conservative.
The Huayra is different. Pagani's second car is more advanced to keep up with the best in the business. While just as useable as the Zonda, its 6-liter biturbo AMG V12 produces 730 horsepower while the car uses active aerodynamics to achieve cornering speeds like you've never seen before. And the noise? They got that from where carbon fiber came from.
Being in England means rain of course, so don't expect tire smoke:
