LG launches 5.5-inch Gx in Korea
LG unveiled the new quad-core phablet Gx in Seoul today.

Though the company calls LG Gx a new phablet, if we examine the specs of the device, it packs pretty much the same features found inside the firm's 10-month old phablet Optimus G Pro sans the thin bezel (9.2 mm) and minor exterior design improvement. It sports a 5.5-inch full HD (1920x1080p) IPS display and runs on the primary OS Android Jelly Bean with LG's custom UX interface.

Under-the-hood, it houses Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 series quad-core CPU, 2GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage, a 13.0-megapixel main camera, a 2.1-megapixel camera on the front and a 3,140 mAh battery.

The new phablet also comes with a slew of smart features - Smart Day (it displays real time weather, calendar schedules of the current day right on the lock-screen), Media Time, Smart Memo, LTE U + Navi (Navigation app), Telephone reminder (Once LG Gx paired with smart TV, you can get message and missed call notifications right on the TV screen), QRemote (change channels, volume of TV with smartphone), KnockOn (tap twice on the phone display to unlock the screen), QTranslator and more. ibtimes
