The Strongest Indian : Enfield Bullet 350 cc,
This all started just as a paint project , the bike did have the factory paint that was a black , I just couldn't resist myself from doing something to my bullet , and one fine morning after so much struggle with between my temptation and self-control , my self -control gave away ....
Then came the time of great struggle choosing the color , since he is a royalty i shouldn't destroy his uniqueness by choosing a wrong coat , and i didnt wanna go for black nor chrome cause every royal enfield i saw around was on the same....
then it after great long duration of battle between the military green and camouflage( green + beige ) ... I choose olive green ..
He was stripped naked , the chassis and the tank where inspected for perfections few small detailing was done then he was rubbed ,
paint , i didn't know there where several shades of olive green until that day , i had to browse through 4 brochure , then i tried 3 colors on separate parts got em matched then finalized my color , u may not guess how long this process went for , it took 3days to choose the right green ...
then he was getting his paint job , i was pretty damn jobless , didn't know to do , i was not convinced with the stock seats , wanted to go for the old spring seats ,
went on a lil shopping found a nice saddle , well that evening i was not so contend with the saddle's leather , i went to a good old friend who owns a leather factory and i was literary scavenging over the whole dumpster for the right colored leather ,
voila !!! found it , it was very pretty ivory , but i did have a great conflict in ma mind , that the color should be ma dream not my wildest night mare , well i went with that color , then the seat cover was hand stitched for perfection
Then i decided to inspect the paint job ,
The tank after painting
other parts if the bike drying up
ok the paint job is done now i wanted to start the engine and other work in the bike , i choose not to chrome my engine i wanted it to be the way it was ,
well going green was not just in paint it was also green all the way ,
so i went shopping yet again , replaced the following parts
carburetor mikcarb vm 24
new muffler with cat converter
new Air-filter
to enhance the performance and to get a better fuel economy
now back to the assembly
Engine and the gear box mounted on the frame
The bikes triple three and then headlight assembly
fixing the rear stay and the suspension
the handle bar and the front end was put on place
The work was all done , i took him for the first spin after a month of restoration work
i was pretty darn satisfied with the put come , now it came to the most important part of my project , decal i was not happy with the company decal , so i started sketching on a piece of paper , i came up with 16 designs and finalized 2 this was decided by taking vote from ma fellow bikers , what great democratic act
i was not a got computer artist so i had to seek counsel of my best friend she did the computer work on the decal so i had to get that printed on a 3M sticker
finally my bike project is over
well the costume decal looked awesome and i got the bike restored on the 15th apr 2011 and since then i did around 10000kms so far no complaints and jus loving the color of the bike ,
its quite majestic and overwhelming ...
he is indeed a world's strongest Indian ........................................ for more pictures feel free to visit http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1730387416190.97729.1133629479&type=1
