1935. The Böhmerland Cechie

Bohmerland was produced in Czechoslovakia between 1923 and 1939. It was an extremely long motorcycle being designed for three people. It was designed and built by Albin Liebisch. It featured a 600cc 16bhp single cylinder engine. There were three models: a Langtouren with rear pannier fuel tanks, a shorter Jubilee model, and a sportier bike called the Racer.

They employed a single cylinder overhead valve engine with open push rods and valve train. The gas tanks were rear mounted and some models came with a sidecar and they all had seating for three on the main frame, plus they were equipped with two transmissions and shifters allowing both driver and passenger to shift gears! Unlike most motorcycles, they had a very long wheelbase, the frame was tubular steel, and the forks were unusual in that, although they were leading-link, the suspension was by springs under tension.

Solid wheels cast from light alloy have become commonplace, but they were novel when the Böhmerland featured them for the first time on a motorcycle. A three-seater extra-long version was made, which had two fuel tanks mounted not over the engine in conventional fashion, but one on each side of the rear wheels. Boehmerland with the unorthodox long-wheelbase frame, twin seats, disc wheels and two petrol tanks beside the rear wheel, and the standard model with the petrol tank in the usual position, was not everyone's choice, but it had a limited circle of customers for quite a long period. In 1937, a new 350-c.c. two-stroke single, which also had an unorthodox frame with disc wheels, appeared on the market but only a few were built before the war prevented further production."
