A rally honoring the 50th anniversary of the Ferrari 250 GTO was held July 1-8, 2012 in the Champagne region of France. The Ferrari 250 GTO Tour included a stop at Le Mans for a tour around Circuit de la Sarthe as part of the Le Mans Classic historic races.The first day of the 2012 Le Mans Classic (Friday 6 July) was highlighted by the near-mythical presence of approximately twenty mythical Ferrari 250 GTOs, of which only 39 were built in the Maranello factory from 1962 to 1964. Reunited by the GTO Owners Club and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, these extremely rare Italian beauties were on show during a two track-lap parade on the full Le Mans 24 Hours circuit.Senior Photographer Tim Scott presents the following pictures that captured the exceptional Ferrari 250 GTO 50th Anniversary Tour as part of the celebrations at the 2012 Le Mans Classic races.
