The Yamaha E06 - Concept Motorcycle

The Yamaha E06 - Concept Motorcycle intends to satisfy the needs of the young, modern, and urban community. People with an open mind, who find themselves attracted by design, fashion and new technologies. In the design of this motorcycle the following points were sought after:

Avoid the classic image of city motorcycles. To do this, the creation has opted for clean and minimalist forms based on the new product design. That is easily customized. Adaptable to the image and personality of the user. Respecting the environment. Intuitive, agile and easy to drive. With a relaxed and comfortable driving position (inspired by ergonomic seating known as the kneeling chair or Scandinavian chair).

Yamaha E06 - Concept Motorcycle

The Yamaha E06 - Concept Motorcycle is driven by a direct current electric engine weighing only 5kg and 18cm in diameter (with brand name ecycle) and is installed in the rear axle of the swinging arm saving valuable space.

The electric engine also permits the use of single control with the functions of regenerative acceleration and braking. The extractable batteries are situated in a box right behind the front wheel helping to obtain low and forward cdg, and achieving greater stability and less load transfer form braking or acceleration.

For the rear suspension a monoshock was chosen which by means of a system of progressive tie rods allowed it to be situated below the swinging arm making it unnoticeable. The front suspension is a single-side fork which provides more turning radius occupying less space and facilitating the changing of tyres.
The steering system is formed by two semi-handlebars, which turn on independent axles, joined by rods and ball joints at the upper bottle of the telescopic suspensión. The headlights and indicators are composed of xenon bulbs and LEDs, respectively.
