The 1904 Wilson-Pilcher, built by Irish engineer Walter Wilson, later credited with inventing the very first tank while working for the British admiralty during World War I.The four-seater, expected to fetch up to about $350,000, is one of a number of important offerings in the Bonhams auction of Veteran Motor Cars and Related Automobilia in London on November 2, ahead of this year’s London to Brighton Veteran Car Run.It’s been owned by Wilson’s family since it was built more than a century ago.
