Nissan's iconic performance flagship Nissan GT-R is available in Europe and Japan for Nissan GT-R 2013 (Nissan GT-R 2014 Model Year in the US) with improved response times, greater stability and even sharper handling.At the very top of the Nissan range, the New Nissan GT-R 2013 GT-R now has a reworked 550PS 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine, generating improved responses from the mid and upper rev ranges. Modifications have also been made to the dampers, springs and front anti-roll bar. The result is greater high-speed stability, improved traction, a more refined ride and an enhanced driver experience.The 0-62mph (0-100km/h) time is now only 2.7 seconds, 0.1 seconds quicker than in the Nissan GT-R 2012 car. The revised model is also even faster around the Nürburgring, lapping the famous German circuit in 7min 19.1 seconds when undergoing testing in May 2012.

Kazutoshi Mizuno, creator of the Nissan GT-R, has revealed that 0.5 seconds were lost to traffic on that hot lap, indicating that the MY13 GT-R is capable of a 7min 18.6 seconds lap. That compares to 7min 21 seconds for the MY12 GT-R.With the Nissan GT-R always showcasing Nissan's latest technology, the modifications made are derived from data generated during competitive racing at the 2012 Nürburgring 24-Hour race in Germany in which two near-production Nissan GT-R models were competing.

The incorporation of high-output injectors that more precisely control fuel injection improve mid-range engine response and acceleration at higher rpm in Nissan GT-R 2013 .Specially-developed orifice to the relief valve have been added to the turbocharger bypass; these suppress the rapid decrease of the forced injection pressure, helping to sustain acceleration at high rpm.By adding a specially designed baffle plate to the oil pan, oil pressure is better stabilized while rotational friction within the oil pan is reduced, especially during high-performance driving .Motul Competition Oil is offered as an engine oil option at Nissan dealers due to the many requests from Nissan GT-R  customers who frequently drive their cars at circuit.

After meticulously measuring the roll center of a Nissan GT-R while in motion, Nissan engineers lowered the vehicle's center of gravity in accordance with the deflection of the suspension bushings and tires. The specifications of the shock absorbers and front stabilizer have also been modified.Cam bolts have been installed on the front suspension to improve camber accuracy and maintainability of alignment settings.
The torque from the driveshaft to the hub bearings was increased to improve reliability in high-stress situations, such as competition (track) driving.
