1982 Honda CB450T Hawk by Classified Moto
1982 Honda CB450T Hawk built by John Ryland and his Classified Moto Team. Made for Justin Renard of Brooklyn, NY who was looking for his name to be worked into the project. There are some natural elements of wood and brown waxed canvas, a pop of red, and a few things rearranged for a more solid expression like mounts for the Progressive Series 12 shocks. The real treat in this machine is all in the seat, underneath it actually, made more visible by elevating the seat an inch or so off the frame rails. Artist Kristy Heilenday from Richmond, Virginia painted the pan made from a skateboard deck with a fox lying on his back in a bed of red flowers, wrench in his mouth. The cushion of the seat is upholstered by Richmond’s Roy Baird. Other fun features include the front forks, brakes and wheel from a 2005 Kawasaki ZX6R, small Shorai Lithium Ion battery powers everything for the 30 year old reconstructed motor, and a Honda CB350 model tank that’s nickel plated with a two-tone candy black stripe and copper CM badging.
